Specifications for Steel Roof Deck:

A. Material and Design

	Made from steel conforming to ASTM Designation A446 and has a minimum yield strength of 33,000 psi.
	Maximum working stress shall not exceed 20,000 psi.

B. Finishes

	1. STANDARD Shop coat of primer paint applied over cleaned and phosphatized steel.
	2. Shop coat of primer paint applied over cleaned and phosphatized galvanizing.
	3. Galvanizing shall conform to the requirements of ASTM A525 coating class G60 or G90.

C. Installation

	Steel Deck shall be erected and fastened in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and erection layouts.
	Cutting openings through the deck less than 16 ft² in area, and all skew cutting, shall be performed in the field.
	Weld metal shall penetrate all layers of deck material at end laps and side joints and have good fusion to the supporting members.
	End laps of sheets shall be a minimum of 2" and occur over supports.
