| Our Safety Man Baskets are designed to lift
personnel in the air with a forklift. |
|
|
Built
to meet OSHA Standards, the safety man basket features a diamond tread plate
floor, 42” high tubular sides,
front latching door, 60”high mesh enclosed backing, 4” high kick
plate and provisions for a safety harness hook-up.
Full-length fork pockets provide added safety and strength to the safety
man basket. Safety Chain secures man basket
to forklift. Each safety man basket ships fully assembled, ready to use.
All safety baskets are painted yellow for high
visibility. |

SERIES OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS |
|
|
|
1.
Make sure forklift is operated ONLY by a trained and certified forklift
driver.
2. Drive forklift forks fully into the man basket’s fork pockets.
3. Wrap safety chain around fork carriage and hook back onto itself taking
care to remove as much slack from
the chain as possible.
4. Open door to the man basket by first lifting then swinging door in.
5. Personnel entering basket must have a full body harness with lanyard.
6. Attach lanyard to any Lanyard Hook Point (see drawing for typical locations)
in man basket.
7. Close door by lifting the door up approx. an inch, swinging door fully
closed and lowering door catch into socket.
8. Note to forklift driver: While there is personnel in the man basket,
the man basket can only be raised or lowered.
No horizontal movement is allowed (i.e. No driving around with
personnel in the man basket). |
