The all mechanical
model EL4F automatic clamping mechanisms
handle from one to four drums at a time without any hydraulic
or electrical connections to the lift truck. Ideal for palletizing
drums or loading & unloading trailers and oversea shipping
containers in high volume drum handling applications. Simply
position the center guide over the four drums, lower and lift.
Once the drums are gripped, the clamping mechanisms safely
secure the drums in place for transportation over dock plates
and other unlevel surfaces.
To
release the drums, fully lower the drums onto a pallet
or floor then elevate the center guide upward.
The
Model EL4F with SRC option is available for handling
drums in hazardous areas. All metal surfaces that contact a
metal drum must be non-sparking. The model EL4F-SRC
includes: Outer housings, fins, center guides, rear guides
and spider all constructed of non-sparking stainless steel
with investment casted non-sparking alloy clamping jaws.
The
Quick-Claw™ Safety Restraint System is also
available for any EL4F model. The attachment locks
onto the lift trucks’ fork blades as soon as it is lifted
off the ground.
In
applications where lifting drums using a crane or overhead
hoist is required, the model EL4CB is the perfect solution.
The EL4CB can be purchased with the SRC option if required.
